The Horsetail Falls in Yosemite National Park, California, initially appears to be an out-of-this-world scene from a fantasy movie. However, the waterfall only seems to glow with flames when illuminated by the sunset.
Horse Tail Fall is a minor waterfall that until recently wasn’t well known, but now people have become enamoured with its ability to look like molten lava. Only in the latter half of February will you get to see the spectacle of the snow melting. Even in that case, it’s important to be in the right place at the right time, as well as taking the weather into account.
This incredible scene is the product of a variety of things, including the angle and intensity of sunlight and temperature. Even though it is a slight possibility, thousands of people flock to Yosemite National Park every year in hopes of witnessing the transformation.
